Did you get this in Nashville? There was one just like it I saw on craigslist for about $40.
Iggy, I've heard the F=Fall thing before. I did a lot of digging when an Airline mandolin came into my possession (that's the Montgomery Wards line of the Harmony/Stella/Silvertone thing).

It says F64 on it. I saw another web site where they thought the the F stood for "Fall", so that F64 meant it was built in the fall of 1964. Does that sound correct to you?

Nice looking guitar. If it has a stamp like mine the last 2 digits should be the model year, and the first digits decode where it was made.
Keeping it in the Department Store line of guitars, this is my new "find." It was discovered in my aunt's apartment when they were moving! 1960 Kay Dreadnought. Still pretty playable too! (I know this isn't CBG related but at least there are two hanging in the back)

Wow. Great job Ben. Really enjoyed it. Tone is great, singing great too!
Thanks Steve! The combination of new strings and the condenser mic on my camera makes it sound a lot brighter than in real life (I like it more live). Thanks for the kind remark! We've got to get together again soon.

A condenser mic is on my short list of gear-to-acquire. Speaking of getting together, I went to the Archie Edwards barbershop jam last Saturday (Julz told us about). Had a blast.
I've been meaning to get over there for so long now! Seems like I'm always doing something else on Saturdays. Today I'm auditioning kids for the Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra from 9am-9pm. Maybe next week will free up for me.

Stella was the first guitar I played. I think it got tossed years ago with an old foot pump organ when my mom decided to clean out her old house of all her junk. Now I think back of all the stuff she literally threw out. Lost treasures forever.
I have always thought that the old Stella would make into a great Dobro/ reso type guitar. That guitar in the late 60's sold for $24.00, when they were discountued the retail price was up to $35.00

Cheers
Bob:)
It was 50 bucks!
