There are two types of those, top load and through body. If there are holes at the back you feed them through the hole and up through that groove. The little screws in the back adjust scale length and the set screws adjust string height. I put one of those on my lpg and it works slick. If it doesn't have string holes in the back then the strings have to come up from underneath. Not easy on a cbg.

If you mean the two little black screws that the hex key (or Allen key) fits - they are for altering the height of the individual string saddles and this gives you great control over the string height.

The big screw with the spring holding each saddle piece in place are for adjusting intonation (which you worked out).

Where the string goes depends on if the hardtail is top loading (in which case there will be another hole below each of the screws with springs) or bottom loading (in which case a hole is in the metal plate underneath each saddle block).

The string goes through the top (or bottom) hole, through the elongated hole in the centre of the saddle block and rests down on the grove in the top of the saddle block and then up the neck, rests on the nut and finally to the machine head. If the string is coming from a hole below the saddle pushing the saddle piece back on the spring screw (it will move back easily and returns to the original position when you let go) makes threading the string easier. If top loading if you put a slight upwards bend on the string before you thread it helps to thread the string through the hole in the saddle block.

Not seeing any holes in the bent part of the bridge where the intonation adjustment screws and springs are, so there must be holes in the base plate that the individual saddles sit on. This makes it a through-body setup. If you did a neck-through, you'll have to drill holes through the neck and top, at the very least, to install strings. This will be a pain if you decide to close the box lid with screws. You could also drill similar holes through the bottom of the box, like a Strat, so you don't have to open the box when stringing up. You'll also want to install some kind of metal ferrule into the wood, to prevent the string ball ends from gradually digging deeper into the wood.

I have CBGs done both ways. I much prefer the one where I don't have to open the box to change strings. I also prefer the top loading hardtail plate.

one more question do I still need to fit the bridge even though this called a bridge?
