Aww B~Finger that was my cat Pumpurrnickels song~ I use to sing this to him all the time he passed in Dec. I love your deep voice and low key to this version~ I actually got through it without crying made me happy to hear it! Meeeeeeowww ^.^

Thanks Jim.  I can't seem to put it down.  I played a little already this morning between college work.  Mixing in a little flat pick in the beginning chorus for clearer single strum, then going to that wonky clawhammer thing I do.  I hope I don't overwork this song in the next month.

Thanks Bruce, Clock, Uncle John, pick, and Andries.  Still some work to do on the song, but I'm pretty happy with it for playing the first time yesterday.

Andries, I record video using my smartphone and I'm not sure if I just get random crap noise with the crackling or bad sound processing in the phone, or what that is.  It doesn't always show up.  I mostly wanted to record just so I could hear it back, but I was happy enough with it to post to share.

I heard Jamey Johnson's version for the season 6 finale of Sons of Anarchy and I was hooked on the idea.  Later I saw a YouTube video of him playing and talking a bit about it.  Really good stuff.  I think he plays an Amin chord and the rest are majors.  I decided to do the whole thing in minor and add my own ideas to what he inspired.

I'm not sure whether playing the opening melody will stay on the bass string, or move up an octave.  Any advice is welcome.  :)

I've never heard that song done minor before.  It really works that way!
