My thoughts and opinions as I drink my second PBR with spicy hot V8 juice.   PBR and spicy hot V8 juice.  Cheap and good.  Like CBGs.

I see a decline in the numbers of videos and photos posted on CBN.   Is interest decreasing?

I have a shit-load of opinions on this, but right now, I want to hear what you think.  What is the state of the CBG world and where is it going?

Build.. We should learn to play these things...

LOL, Mr. Bellaire.   I do play em.   Every day.  Got one by the crapper.   Still learning though!

"Got one by the crapper"

LOL! Well thats about the only place in my house without some kind of musical instrument. Gonna have to work on that!

Best a-coo-steeks and a-poo-steeks in the place.

Gary, do not text, talk on the phone or eat pasta while driving down the highway.  Highway driving is the time to play your harmonica.

However wearing a harp harness and playing on the crapper is perfectly acceptable.   Play some cbg too and do 3 or 4 things at once.

If I start jamming and singing on the crapper, I think the lovely Miss Linda might finally cave and allow me the padded room and specially fitted jacket I have deserved for so long.........

Last time I sang on the crapper, somebody yelled that stinks. To be honest, I was out of tune and off rhythm.

I'm very new to CBG world and i can't tell about a decline. in my country the CBGs are completely unknown to the people, and I feel that I'm on a mission to make them known, it's worth the effort. I believe that although we are going through a period of economic crisis, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money for a guitar to be able to play well.Talent counts more. However, I believe that the CBGs have a unique sound that make them old-fashioned and modern at the same time

Here at CBN I met very good builders, players and dare to say good people.I learned and continue to learn about building and over the time I loved it. My problem is that I have almost no tools, it is difficult to find the necessary lumber and at good prices and very little time to spend.

The good news is that when people see and hear my CBGs they are interested to know about them and like them much . I already have an order to build one for very few money but it makes me happy and gives energy to go on.

UJ there is no need to worry, CBGs proved that they last through time and will never extinct

I think you are right.  Good on you, brother.

I think the absence of hype and chatter in no way diminishes the CBG culture from what I have observed. I think people will always be intrigued by making and playing their own instrument and maybe even much making old school acoustic slide blues accessible to people who were intimidated by it from a playing aspect. Without the rules of playing the classics with a certain exactness I find I can enjoy these styles so much more. The old blues guys in the hills weren't doing note for note covers when they covered other players songs, they played them according to their ability and means in a sense becoming connected to them and making them their own. I feel like CBG gives me that freedom as I stated elsewhere.

People I know who were into CBGs and now aren't 1) never made their own and/or 2) never played, only made to sell. Once the novelty wore of they moved on.

Seems true and well said.

Got an idea song from the John vids posts record from the John you up first uncle John
