have you looked at your local craft stores. Often there is a section for people who like to paint furniture where there may be a box the correct size. It might be a jewlery box or something but it should work.

I've heard that cardboard boxes actually make quite loud guitars. There's a guy on YouTube, I think his name is 'Uncle Crow'. He makes them out of keyboard boxes and they sound really good. I don't like to use them just because they look cheap.

I love making guitars out of buiscuit tins and cookie tins. Some sound like resonator guitars and some sound like banjos.
