It seems that the only interest in CBG's is for playing blues slide.  Does anyone use it for say country, or blue grass?

I don't understand Oily. I watched a few of your vids. Real nice playing!

Nothing I've created is anything near the blues. More funk or R&B related. Don't have any vids yet.

Ain't nobody understands me
Whoa, nobody understands me
That's why I got the Incomprehensibility Blues.

The above outtake from Monty Python and The Holy Grail was in response to a post that has since been removed. I should probably remove it...Naahhh.
I'm in an indie/folk/pop band called Trickster Flint. Here I play 3 string slide cbg to an atmospheric track.
At the moment I'm working on an instrumental album with cigar box instruments (uke, bass, cello, violin, slide,...) and elcetronic/triphop styled backings.

http://jerusalemmules.bandcamp.com/album/ax-murder-hollow-bury-me-b... here is another link to some old country and folk by a local duo playing cbgs and washboards etc.

The christmas album has a lot of unique styles on it. If you tune GDGD you can bluegrass the fire out of a CBG in the

banjo tuning. Check out turtlehead he plays a mean version of Abilene and sings it so good- also does Hotel California

and some bluegrass and other country. You can do a lot on a CBG!

There really is no difference. It's a guitar. One string, three, six or more it's a guitar. One of the most versatile musical instruments ever created. Your choice of strings and how it's tunes will help bring out what you want.

I end every show with Highway to Hell.

Other covers include:

Personal Jesus

Dancing Days (Zep)

Foxy Lady

Funkytown

Rock and Roll Pt. 2

In My Time of Dying

Roadhouse Blues (Doors)

When the Levee Breaks

Brick House

...and many others

Guitarist/producer Danny pupplo

danny is a heavy metal guitarist and plans on using a CBG for layering on his next project.

Not sure what genre this is, but it ain't blues:) any thoughts? ( it's on a 2 string diddley Bo )

Yeah Kirk! Check out the vids on my page. Lots of old traditional songs and just a handfull of blues. I love blues but mostly I've been playing Appalachian Mtn. tunes on CB instruments. They work for anything even some folks playing classical music on them!
