Summer Tour Season...and a toilet paper gun

I walked out of Lowe's Hardware Store with an electric leaf blower, a paint roller and a huge pack of toilet paper.

Things are gettin' weirder for Shane Speal's Snake Oil Band...

I seriously love our fans.  You guys realized long ago that we're not a band that's content to play old time blues on homemade instruments.  You guys know that when you come to our show, you're going to get a theatrical knuckle sandwich along with a wallup of blues.  Which explains the email I received several weeks back giving me the details for making a toilet paper gun.

Apparently, all you have to do is duct tape a paint roller to the end of a leaf blower, add two rolls of toilet paper and hit the switch.  You get a continual stream of toilet paper headed toward the audience, 10-20 yards away...and it'll disperse the entire rolls in under 30 seconds.  There's video proof.

To me, this is pure entertainment!

We're using the new toilet paper gun this Saturday at our headlining show.  Are you going?  It's the Taste of PA Wine and Music Festival in York, PA.  We're performing at the 6-9pm "Unreasonably Big Beer Garden" portion of the event on Saturday night.  Expect confetti cannons, smoking cigar box guitars...and the toilet paper gun.

On another note, I'm headed back in the studio this morning to finish the album.  We have three weeks of recording booked and we're in the home-stretch.  I can't wait for you to hear this album.  It's everything you guys love about our live show plus an extra element of prison chants/field hollers mixed in.  It's the best album I've ever done.

I'd write more, but I need to load all my guitars in the van and head out.  It's time to boogie!

Stay primal,
Shane Speal
