We are organizing a CBG workshop held one Saturday a month at the 61 roadhouse & kitchen in Webster Groves MO. (St. Louis Area).  This is also the home to the St. Louis CBG festival each year.

Bill Kunz of 61 has been generous in offering us a place to meet, practice, discussed ideas and what ever members decide to do with the time. Gary Herget and myself are contacts for this club and are open to ideas to make this a fun club. As soon as we have commitment from members, we can set up a Saturday each month to meet mornings. We haven't set a day or start time as of yet. We need to know who can commit at least to a start up and discuss as a group when and how we want to run this. Possibilities are great!

Whats the schedule for regular Saturday meetings?  I'd like to drive up from Springfield, but work every other Saturday....

We meet the 3rd Saturday of every month from 9:00am till 11:00am can go longer if things are going well. Our first meeting we had a person come from Columbia to join us and I believe he had his young daughter with him. I know it a long trip but would be glad to see you. April meet is the 19th hope you can make it.

Sorry we haven't been able to come the last couple of meetings, but I hope we can next Saturday. I'm tiring to get my twin sister to come too and bring the dulcimers my father made so we can play them together for you guys.

Our next get together is on the 19th. Hope to see ya there Wichita Sam!

A quote from Smilingdog 1.
"If there's only three of you that enter, you're required to pay for my anti depressant medication after the event : ) "

We could all get together and sing the Happy Happy Joy Joy song from Ren and Stimpy. We will MAKE you happy!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0V4TZAyd8I

We could play this song for hours : )

OK but you get to wear the helmet.

Drats Rat!

I'm working that day.  Maybe next month..... Sound like your are building a great thing there in StL.

Working on my next build.  A fretted three string. Wont have it done by the next get together. Got to cheat. Going to bring a store bought guitar with only three strings on it. Hey. it works for Seasick Steve. : )

Just get the Rat to the next meeting!

Venders list is growing. The more venders, the more we cultivate interest in this festival. The more raffles and contest, the more fun and interest. I know it may seem a competitive market. But we are actually generating a culture that will last and grow proportionately to the efforts we exert. Write your songs, send them in and be involved, it's your festival people, not mine. This festival is by design self serving in the sense of our CBG community. The moneys collected to date are recycled back into our club/workshop where as you know we use free of charge and are served free drinks! Myself and many others donate each year, our splendid crafts we normally sell toward fundraisers and awesome prizes for those contest winners. Each year we put on a show for the public and educate them into our world of unique music. Fantastic food & drink, not a few but dozens of craftsmen & women, live entertainment, song writers contest, CBG built it yourself/tune/play.  Souvenirs and memories Whew! 2014 is going to truly be a blast!

Next meeting this Saturday 19th at 9:00am at the Roadhouse hope to see everyone there!!

10-4

09:00 on the 19th. at HWY61roadehouse Webster Groves MO.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning.

Talking to a fellow guitar player at work. He's done a lot of solo gigs. Also has some originals. Trying to get him to submit a song and go to the festival. So for I think he's chickening out. I'll keep at em.
