I normally use Good old Elmers white glue, or Aleen's Tacky Glue... then wipe down with a damp cloth to remove any external residue.

From what I've seen they eventually peel up, and I'm thinking I'll get some box corners to eliminate that issue...

Thin super glue works.  I use a toothpick to hold it down while it drys.

Be careful of the solvents. I have used stuffed things up with water soluble inks and water based glue and with solvent based inks and super glue. Unfortunately it is hard to tell before you start.

Super glue...quick and tidy...don't over apply..keep different brand boxes even in sizes you won't use..you will occasionally need to replace damaged paper trim on your builds.  These discarded boxes are a good source.

I have started using the Titebond brand of glue on my builds. Does well on paper. I alos think I am getting a better sound using it to attach piezo discs to the sound board also.

I use tite bond and a damp cloth to press it down and out. and blend it in. after it gets tacky just wipe it up. here is another great tip i use. if you have torn edges or pieces. open the box. and take your razor. cut some of the pattern from along the inside overlap. you can match the pattern on the missing or torn piece then glue it in place. if i have a rough torn edge. i will match the tear, and sand the edge of the replacement paper a little to get it to blend. test fit then glue it in place. this works out nice. ive saved a few boxes this way. I also use the spray on clear film that they sell at auto zone for the plastic bumpers on the front of new cars to keep chips from scratching paint. ill just dust the box a cuople times with this spray. its pretty durable and is like a clear. helps keep the paper from getting tore up too fast. It hasent eaten any of the color up on the boxes ive used it on yet. good luck

I have kids in elementary school so I just "borrow" their glue sticks.  Not always permanent, but I do have a ready supply.  :)
