Ok everything was going fine!! Drilled the 1/4 jack on wrong side. Duh..
What are some things I can do to fix if possible. It's a wood cigar box. Here's some things I thought of but anyone other ideas greatly appreciated.
1. Cover hole with sticker
2. Put some kinda wood filler(seems impossible)
3. Put a jack in it for looks..(I have a broken non-functional 1/4 jack ...screw in)
Thank you

Make a semi-decorative cover for the hole. Then make a second one just like it for the other side and place your jack there. If the jack doesn't have enough threads for double thickness then drill over size hole in box and secure jack to newly made cover. this keeps things balanced on both sides of your box. Good luck!

Good idea. Unfortunately, I really kinda blew it here. I didn't plan this well and because I was looking for the thinnest wood in the box (because jack is short) my mind was elsewhere. I put a jack hole at the bottom right cover...and one on top right. I'll be buying a few longer jacks in the future as to never have to worry about where to have to use the thinnest wood area.

How about making a sound hole there or polish a penny and glue it over the hole?
Cheers
Steve
Excellent idea ...about the penny!!Thank you.
The hole in the picture would let you have the amp cable come out of the front and not be in the way as you play (unless you strum with your left hand). SG electric guitars do this http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sg+guitar&hl=en&client=saf....
You could stick a personalised name plate over it (a penny would be cheaper - I like that idea).
You could use the hole to add a kill switch button. ( You wire a push to make momentary switch across the jack + and - terminals and then you push it to give a stuttering effect).
So you might keep the lower jack as is... or use it as a kill switch or ..put a name plate...(these ideas for the hole on lid of guitar). The hole on top ...I might just put a kill switch or something like there and use the front jack like Gibson...great ideas!!
If you get a chance show me which kill switch...?
I bought a kill switch...momentary push button switch (part 275-1566) it's got 2 terminals...can you tell me how it gets soldered to the piezo? Please. Thanks Jon

hi Jon, my advice is to always use a Gibson style metal jack plate to hold your jack socket, it makes for a firmer anchor point and your jack socket will not come loose (-:

Next time for sure!

Could use a recessed jack plate, Gitty sells them 3 for 6.00

Perfect!!! Thank you
