Thanks Mr Mott, unfortunately I don't know the angle of my spoke shave but I have been working in a 30' bevel. Looks real close to what was on it.

Lie Nielsens are the Cadillacs of planes , so I went there to see what theirs were .
I see their Boggs concave is the same 25° angle .

Pricey stuff , but the only tool I ever sold for more than what I paid for it was a Lie plane .
Paid the electric bill one month ......

Hope you didn't take offense to my poking fun, But it seems like to government has a warning on everything. Guess it is good to be aware of potential dangers and use proper cautions. I don't know how we survived so long.

Ah, something I know a little about after using various S. Shaves for many years now.

The average degree of bevel varies depending on the quality of the Shave you have, the cheep ones usually have a 28 to 35 degree bevel, same on better made shaves but the blade pitch on the better Shaves made for working with really hard woods you will find have between 40 and 55 degree blade pitch.

The high end Shaves also have hardened tool steel cutting edges and are re-curved to throw shavings to the right on the best models, they have wider soles most often made of brass, flat or with a radius.
