Only one more week, people!

Dan,

I just mixed my submission down using Garage Band a few minutes ago. Gotta play with it in Audacity this weekend, as I'm more familiar with that, then convert it to mp3. Should be ready for submission Saturday or Sunday.

It's an original electric blues, called "When My Glass Is Empty (I Reach For You)." The verses reference 3 famous American whiskies. Here's the lyrics (Copyright RAS Enterprises 2012. All rights reserved.)

Amp: Zinky Li'l Smokey, cranked all the way up
Harmonica: Hohner Piedmont Blues in C - Ron "Oily" Sprague
Vocals: Ron "Oily" Sprague
Percussion: Metal washing machine top, my right hand - Ron "Oily" Sprague

All tracks recorded at my kitchen table, kitchen counter and laundry room, individually using iRig microphone into GarageBand. Guitar, harmonica and percussion processed with GarageBand "Small Room" reverb effects, vocals processed with GarageBand "Large Hall" reverb effects.

I came up with this little tune last year it's definately  lo-fi. I'm tuned GCG on this one.

506 page views, and only 6-8 submissions??!! C'mon, think of the fame, the fortune...OK, think of the fame.

I know some of y'all out there are inveterate procrastinators like myself, but even I managed to get finished ahead of the deadline. Get them recorders out, put on your Blues hat ( hey, even Uncle John's lovely Linda got herself one now!), and git crackin'!

I know I've already sent one but if you're running short here's one called Just not Myself (without you) I used a four string Daddy Mojo that I play in my live shows a lot. It was also on my "Home Cookin " CD.

I am recording my track now just need to fix up some vocals stuff and I should have it ready by 4/1/12. My other band Moes Tavern also has a couple recordings on CBG if we're running short I can upload a track from them as well!
