Thanks Wes. I'll try turning it down and see if it's much better. I was eBaying earlier and saw a few magnetic coil pickups that would likely work for this and future builds so may buy one first and try it out on this build as a rehash. One of the listings said three matched pickups for a stratercaster. I'd be able to use just the one for this and one for each of another two builds? Not sure. That was the cheapest option if I could get three for the price of one though.

That's me, lots of fun, but only really in real life. I'm perhaps one of the most self conscious people when it comes to recording myself, both audio and video. I hate watching myself back during editing and am always unhappy with the results. I should relax more and not stress but I'm the proverbial drama llama when it comes to this stuff. Glad you liked it anyway and thanks again for all the help you've given. You're a guardian angel amongst men.
