Hi Zipo.

Thank you for the very kind comments. I think many people struggle with the electronics. I only have the most tenuous grasp. The one thing that I found helpful was watching a friend make connections some while ago. Although he was using flux cored solder he used a separate flux as well. You can get it at any DIY shop, sold for plumbing. Making soldered joints is so much easier now. I hope that helps.

Hi YRH, yep you should get yourself a Diddley Bow. I think it would be good for your image.  I can see you playing the National Anthem on it, cranked up loud with lots of overdrive!!...and yes that's me playing Amazing Grace : -)
