The no rules rule is the rule for diddley bows! They are perfect for experimenting, and cheap, so if it dont work, no big deal. Just remember, the octave will be in the middle, so if you make one 10 feet long, it may be hard to play by yourself.

Hey Roger,
I use strings EAD from a standard medium gauge pack of strings to tune down to DAD. It is like a little bass guitar. (my CD 1 Lessons) Strings ADg to tune up to AEa or a lot easier on your neck, tune down to GDg. (my CD 4 lessons) Regardless, they all finger the same because they all have a 151 (major scale tones) interval relationship between strings. I hope this answers your question. Enjoy, Keni Lee

Trust me, I'm at level "zero" my very first build, basically using stone knives and bearskins.
