A while ago I bought a distressed Chinese violin from eBay and set about making a guitar. At first all went well. Successfully removed the violin neck etc. The new neck was another story. Everything that could go wrong did. So the violin was stuck in a corner of the workshop until spring this year.
This time all proceeded smoothly and I have finally finished!
Its tuned GDg and has mucho volume.
In retrospect I should have had a shorter neck and had the bridge at the lower end of the F holes. C'est la vie!.
