Id like to take a moment to comment on the Keni Lee Burgess CD, since I have had a chance to listen to it several times through.
If you like vintage blues music whatsoever, add this one to your collection!
It has several of my favorite tunes, done in a way that I would describe as a fresh take, without losing the original flavor.
I dont want to spoil it for anyone, but I will say I found the use of the flute as a lead instrument in "Rollin' and Tumblin'" to be refreshing and exciting. The ending to "Breakin' down" makes me laugh out loud, and the version of "When the Levee Breaks" is something special to me.
The songs and styles have enough veriety that this is one I will listen to over and over. I am glad I found it and will consider it a treasure in my vast collection.
Thanks Keni!
Also as a "If you like this you might also like" style recommendation:
Check out Cindi Laupers CD "Memphis Blues". It might surprise you. It has fun and refreshing takes on some classics as well.

I like it too. Good songs and pickin. There is a female singer on some songs, a friend of Keni's, I think. She's good, but I prefer the songs Keni sings.
Thank you all for your kind words.
My rendition of Rollin' and Tumblin' was inspired by Otha Turner:

When the Levee Breaks was inspired by my youth and hearing Led Zep perform it. Although my rendition brings it back to the 1930s.
My Grandfather appears on the front of the CD. Although he could not carry a note, he loved to sing and dreamed of being a crooner just like Frank Sinatra. Unfortunately, he died of throat cancer before the CD was made. He was my role model for what a "good man" should be. The picture of him is from the 1930s. He was in his early twenty and dressed to the nines. He bunched up his tie and held it in place with a tack. That is what you did back then to look cool.
Thank you Mark for reviewing my CD. Enjoy.

Cute dog Keni, but he chases airplanes! LOL!
OK, so heres an unusual question, how did you do the youtube link so it comes up full screen like that? New trick on me!
I usually just get the embed code like this:
Now this is funny. Do you see the video on my post? Because I see the code. On your post, I see the video. Do see the code?
Internet Technology. You got to love it or it will just drive you crazy. LOL Enjoy.
Thats what I mean, yours is the code, but the link pops up full screen. Never noticed that before. And the reason it intriques me is that the regular embed code, like I used, only works as a thumbnail. which annoyingly locks out the full screen feature. So then one must click on the "watch on youtube" link so you can watch full screen.
Maybe I am just missing something. Maybe its just an annoyance for an old fart with bad eyesight. But sometimes I like to see the whole scene ya know?
