I have not been 'round in a long time.

Anyone remember me?

Last post might have been 10 years ago!

Has everyone gone away to somewhere else? Some other community?

I'm still building here and there. You can see some on my tiktok (same name).

Latest is a 2-string, standup, bowed bass shaped like a harpoon for a pirate metal project I'm working on.

Made of a stick of Patagonian cherry with a walnut fretboard, a zero fret, some random brackets, a carriage bolt, bass tuners, sisal rope, an aluminum spike and a modified violin bridge. And it's electric! Flat humbucker pickup installed vertically and it's loud and clean. Intended to be played with a bow BUT it's cool no matter how you play it. And it's like 6 feet tall.

I wanted it to look 'rustic' so I beat the hell out of it with the belt sander and burned a terrible jolly roger on the headstock.
