Ok. Yeah, those pre-amps have been good for me except for one I bought on ebay that took 2 watch batteries instead of the 9v battery I expected. Try turning down the gain. Those pre-amps are meant for more acoustic tone than hot electric.

It looks military. Moon mission box! Cool! I have a Bare Bones Guitar that’s as sturdy built and it sounds great.
