More power

I have a pair of powered computer speakers powered by a 16V wall converter. How much damage do I do if I try to run it with 2 9V batteries?

probably ok. most wall power pack are not well regulated. i bet if you measured the output it would be around 18V

Probably not much, I had a 6 C cell (9v) radio & tape player that I wired directly to the car's electric system (12+v) and it didn't fry
