Sorry.... its me again. Too much time on my hands at the moment it seems.

I made this Capo today and thought it might be of interest to those of you who play fretless instruments and would like to play in different keys., without retuning. I use one all the time on my fretted CBG's

The Capo.....

I used aluminium for the prototype, but brass would look better.

I used an old banjo capo and modified it.

The "nut" is bone and its ramped at the back so there is the width of a fret on top at the front edge for string contact.

The aluminium base is fitted to the main capo so that it can be installed as one unit.

The bone nut will of course be filed down to the string action the player prefers.

Photos should tell the story.........go for it.

Nice job Taff, I think there might be a market for them depending on production cost
