12-string cake tin resonator build

Hello!

I was recently given a broken 12-string acoustic guitar, and I was really taken by the 'distressed' look of the decades-old lacquer.  I already have an ordinary 12-string, so I didn't need another.

Figuring the wreck had been left in a damp place for some time, I dumped it in a corner of my workshop to dry out for a month or two, whilst I had a think about what to do with it!

Yeah, they're too expensive. LOL

I started  building a twin engine P-38 back in the 80's. It was a Balsa wood kit and I got down to where I need to order the motors, servos and controller. I saw the prices, put everything back in the box and sold it at a yard sale.

Then started repairing and building electric guitars. Here's a pic of my Strat-O-Rez guitar.

Also, nice looking, nice playing rescue git. Old guitars that don't say Martin or Gibson often get trashed. Good save.

I hear you on that!   Luckily my RC obsession pays for itself, as I do a bit of writing for one of the UK magazines to bolster the funds.
