i know its from 4 years ago and might have been posted before .

what i found interesting is he used the jumbo paperclips for his frets.. i am using 7/64 x 50mm (2") split pins at the moment but finding the steel really hard to file down.

If i ever finish this CGB i planned on a ukulele next...  paper clips will be good for that especially with nylon strings...

I have a 3 cigar box dulcimer I made, it sounds pretty great I think. I've messed around some with alternative fret materials but wow, when you can buy fret wire at such a reasonable cost it hardly makes sense to use anything else, unless you just want to be able to say you re purposed or "made" all the parts. Same goes for tuners IMHO. ( I do like to be able to claim I " made " the whole thing from scratch, but that really is never true, I buy boxes, I buy glue, I buy or reclaim parts, wood etc, finishes, tools, strings on and on)
