cigarbox fiddle

i am going to build the 1941 fiddle per the plans on this site. Any tips Is the bridge handmade or premade, strings sets?

Hey there Barry. Here's the one I made from those plans. I used a home made bride and friction pegs to keep it as authentic as I could. The strings are inexpensive steel ones, either  $5 Chinese or a $12 set of D'Addario Preludes. I use both kinds on CB Fiddles and don't recall which are on here. It has a bass bar and sound post as is diagrammed in the plans.
