I've collected antique and odd Christmas items for well over 30 years now. So I take advantage of the only time of year this stuff looks right. House ends up looking like an over stocked resale shop.

The village started out three years ago with 14 buildings I got for $2.50 each. Today it's 41 buildings and 128 trees. Average is still around $2.50 a building. Picked up three of them yesterday for a grand total of $3.65. As with most of the stuff i own I get it on the cheap.

Still have plenty to display. Including the main tree. That usually takes over eight total hours. Not a regular unpainted round ball on it.

Coooooooooooool-A-Roo!!!

Looks cool Rat.

Wow, that's a winter wonderland!

nice  ,  wifey  has  a large  dickensville  collection  . it  has  become  so  big   it's too  daunting  to  set up  every  year  . :-/ but  ..  there  if we   feel  like it  .  ;-)

Thanks everyone. I'll get more pictures up as the stuff gets set up.

Anonymous. The best thing for a large village display is a dimmer switch. Makes it look so much better. And if you have street lights and keep them at 100% power they'll actually look like street lights. I picked up a few of these at Lowe's

Mines a little different. Only rated for 200 watts and doesn't have the LED. Makes the glow for the windows look natural. And helps cut down from the 'radioactive buildings' look.

And there's more!
this is my home made fake feather tree. Covered with real antiques. The horns are candle holders from the mid 1870's.

Next is my 1920's Large Italian Nativity. The  four foot wide case it's sitting on came from a store build in the 1800's. They used to store paper in the drawers to sell it one sheet at a time. The camels, two white sheep and Angel directly behind Jesus are not original to the set.

this is a view of the two book cases. Everything from real antiques to just cool stuff.

More of the Santa collection.

Still more of the Santa collection.

A look into the living room from the kitchen side. Yes, that's a guitar case behind the couch.
