I labeled it the "Scratch and Dent"  It's a donation for my son's Boy Scout troop.

The good news is the intonation is great, the action is high enough to use a slide, and low enough to fret...  it plays really well.   Here's the whole thing:

The neck is maple and linseed oil.. I'll go look for some wood filler that will work  :-)

The good news is I finally had some time to play... Haven't touched a guitar to really play in weeks... (not that I really PLAY)  I really forgot how much playing is a stress reliever...

what you could do is.....if you have any spare fretboard wood take a very thin veneer slice and glue and clamp it (using an appropriately sized piece of wood so it presses flat)  over the 13th segment, no need to make a mess digging out the spots from the offending space between the frets.  once it is (...stained?) smoothed and blended in you will hardly notice, and  new spots can be placed in...when you've had a sleep! ;-)

Steve:  t's maple.. not sure I could pull off a thin enough piece, but that's thinking out of the box...  I could just buy a plug cutter and make maple inlays...   hmmm...

I'm a master of covering up mistakes....!    with nearly 90 builds to my credit there's been a few... don't tell no one tho' ....;-)

They are actually quite easy...  drill a small hole and insert a machine screw... they pull real easy...
