veneer

Had a go at using a thin veneer, after a couple of weeks, it rippled up. Any suggestions

I often use veneer as a headstock cap.  I use Evo-Stik white wood glue and clamp it firmly.  If I'm using several bits of veneer I assemble them on tape and then glue the assembly on, tape side up.  Contact adhesive should work OK as well.
