I am building my second CBG. My last one had a simple Piezo Transducer pickup from radio shack. Works fine, but next time I will encase it in thin maple or walnut to reduce the feedback and noise. Question is, can I actually wire that type of pickup with volume controls and if so, how?? Also, are there any other homemade pickups out there that would work for my current build?? I am using a 9 1/4"x 9 3/4" thin Arturo Fuente box and don't plan on cutting sound holes in it. Strictly electric (looks like something Bo Diddley would have played). I would like to get a good raw sound without spending too much. Any ideas??

Ted, thanks so much. Great thing is, I haven't sealed the box yet so I will see how that does. I am about to post some pictures of the one I mentioned last night. I actually found some brass washers that worked over those sound holes. It's not a bad build for my first complete CBG.
