Wenatchee - Seasick Steve on Cigar Box Guitar

My take on Wenatchee by the man himself Seasick Steve but on a four string cigar box guitar. Open G tuning.

A Well Done Seasick Steve Tune Clarky, I wish I had your ability to be able to listen to a song by ear and mentally transcribe it for cigar box guitar, but "alas" I can't, I usually rely on a How to Play Vid or Tab etc; I finally did just get around to subscribing to your YouTube Channel, and was Wowed!, certainly a lot going on there, including instructional Vids, which I will  definitely investigate further  :-D

Thanks Jim. That's a great story haha. Maybe the old guy was wiser than us mere mortals! What I love about a song like that is that Wenachee seems a millions miles away from me but the story is familiar. Where I'm from it's mainly potato picking, or strawberries/raspberries. I've done the lot.

There's a lot of people doing what I do on YouTube though Andries and I enjoy it. Especially happy that I'm able to listen to a song by ear and mentally transcribe it for cigar box guitar. It's a big deal for me considering I've never had any lessons. If I had more time I'd come up with my own stuff but I've got a full time job, kids, dogs etc that take up most of my time so the hour I get on guitar every couple of days is pretty productive considering everything.

Thanks John and Dave.  Haha I am balding but all the good guys go bald, am I right :D

Seasick Steve came to our little town in Scotland and played a few years back.  Got to say it was terrific and he's been a massive influence, both on my starting building and also my playing style.

Sounds like SS guitar. Nice amp settings. You kind of shine in that department.   Good playing.  SSS was in Clarksdale, Mississipi at the Shackup Inn this past spring.  That would have been great to go down and see him play and all the sights.  C# Merle got to go.

Clarky, the word is that you've gone bald and have a serious comb-over starting at your left ear.  Nothing wrong with that.  Hats are easier.
