Hey John! Welcome to the wonderful world of CBG! I am not sure what is going on with your guitar. A couple of factors would be string gauge, bridge and nut material.

Do you know the gauge on your string. I like running .012. I like a bone nut (Bone for tone) and a brass bridge.

Glad to hear someone in my neck of the woods picking up this addictive hobby! ;)

Hey Alan, just finishing a 3 stringer.  I just need to work out a few bugs with the pickup.  My string nearest the floor, doesn't want to make much sound when played.  Any thoughts?  When this is worked out maybe we can get together; I need now to know how to play the darn thing!  Also, let me know of any 3 string events or shows.  I live near Parker and Arapahoe Roads.  Thanks, John Hopper
