I've already tried this technique too but I had some trouble at the beginning because the wood had sucked too much of the transfer lacquer. Now I first put some clear spray paint on the surface, let it dry and then do the process like you show it in the video.

I'm showing you my first box completed last week using laser printed image. Basically image sticks to surface and paper is dampened and gently rubbed off exposing image. Care when close to finish as to not completely rub image away. Let dry, then simply apply clear coat. Stain can be applied for effect and color images work as well.
