Lovely looking guitar. You're really into pioneering territory there with an Aluminium fretboard - rather you than me with that fretting job!

I believe all the Travis Bean and Kramer ally necked guitars had wood or resin fretboards (Kramers used some sort of resin-based stuff called Ebenol) - much easier to fret I guess. If anyone's interested there's supposed to be a documentary in the pipeline about Travis Bean. Apparently it's called "Sustain", which seems to be a testament to the qualities of ally necks (http://www.travisbeanmovie.com).

I was going to try making helpful suggestions about how you could attach frets but I couldn't come up with much that doesn't seem mad or impractical. Attaching steel to ally is a bit of a pain at the best of times (says a Landrover enthusiast who's tired of explaining to people that although it's cool having an alloy body it's bitch when that's connected to any of the steel bits).

Looks like you're doing better than I would so I'll leave you to it and look forward to seeing the next one.
