Wow!  Somehow I  missed this  video.   You answered my questions and then some.  Very informative and what a great job on your pizza paddle bass.   I'm going to use wine barrel staves and make a solid body bass.  This video was very timely.  Also, thanks for the kind words.  I have about 8 more feet of corian if you need some.

Very nice Poorness. I think sturdy is good! The addition of a neck brace is good. I’d have gone all the way from nut to tail with it. You may get a little “jack knife” action where your brace and body board meet. But maybe not. I’ve been using Cello strings and long shaft tuners with my attempts. They work great. And they are long enough for a 30 inch. I’ll love hearing your sound sample. :*)
