I finished my first build and it sounds and plays great.  I used threaded rod for the nut and bridge but decided to change them out with something nicer.  Made new nut and bridge with 1/8 brass rod…Continue

Four string Pup's on three string CBG's

Started this discussion. Last reply by Wayfinder Mar 23. 21 Replies

I have a couple of 4-string pups and would like to use at least one on a 3-string build.  Should I angle the pup to keep the magnets closer or just center it on the strings and go with it?  Continue

Easy song on three string recommendation

Trying to find an easy song for my grandson to learn on his six string I suggested Stars On The Water by Rodney Crowell because it has only two chords and a great tempo.   I'm a newbie trying to learn songs on the three string so I gave it a shot.  Open G and e-minor.  Very easy and now I don't want to play it on my six string anymore.See More

"Another great one Derek. I was surfing on YouTube today and saw your cover of Last Nail. Great job on that song as well. Did you need to reinforce your neck? I want to build a six string with 24 inch scale on an oak neck."

Brick House 6 String CBG Sound Check

"Janis, the water based contact cement I bought was Weldwood in a green can. I got it at one of the big box stores. The red can Weldwood contact cement is not water based and won't work with PSV. You can buy PSV online or at wood workers shops."
