Well crap.  This worked slick for Jason so I went out and bought the prettiest 6 pack in the liquor store.   I think I will try it again with PBR! 

The failure here was  caused by:  A. Unc is a dunce.   B. Unc should have had adult supervision.  C. poor job scoring the glass evenly   D. Unc was buzzed w 2 bottels of 6% alky Bud Light Platinum   E. Al of the above

Let me just follow up to the comment about wine bottles....YES you can use them with this method too..It works perfect, I make them all the time....I just like the look of the PBR slides and that's what I'm including with my custom guitars to my customers.

Only problem i see is most bottle slides are made from winebottles which are a thicker glass and tend to hold up better. I`ve seen the beer bottle slides before a few years ago, the tip`s are somewhat hard to use for playing compared to the tip on a wine bottle. But congrats on a cool idea..

Thanks Jason.  I was using a diamond blade on a dremel, and it worked but it took a lot of cutting (and dust too).

yes, thanks. I have only made them with dremel with taped bottles and the cut is never that perfect for me, not too mention the risks from dust and what-not. I will try this technique this coming weekend. I have many wine bottles to do.
