Shane Speal presents a new run of handmade cigar box guitars built in his York, PA shop.

This auction is for a 3-string, fretless (fret markers are woodburned on) slide cigar box guitar. The body is made from an antique House of Windsor cedar box from nearby Red Lion, PA. A vintage Vargas girl graces the top. Please see the demo videos below to hear the beautiful tone of this special instrument. Details:

Handmade by Shane Speal, known as the King of the Cigar Box Guitar and originator of the modern cigar box guitar movement.
Poplar neck. 23" scale
Played with a slide (included)
Acoustic/electric with internal piezo pickup.
No soundholes (not needed...loud acoustically and also diminishes feedback when plugged in.)
Stella guitar bridge.
The nut is made from a stove bolt.
Packed very carefully. For a cigar box guitar, this one is a bit more fragile due to the solid cedar box.
