Thanks Sammy, I enjoy your uke'n and singin'. I've made CB fiddles and CB mandolins that don't sound so good but for some reason every CB uke has been sweet!

Thanks guys. Yeah Silent Jim I spent some time at auctions and yardsales looking for a decent drawknife. Luckily here in WV there's a lot of old timer's who've used these but are getting up in years and don't anymore. Now it's like a treasure hunt for me at flea markets,etc. and I've been able to find stuff like decent brace & bit sets along with spokeshaves and other handtools that looked cool but I've got no idea how to use! The brace and bit get used for drilling into end grain for inserting a dowel rod.

Thanks Randy and Vinnie. Yeah those long curly shavings are as beautiful as the neck! Oh yeah Vinnie, didn't you notice it's in the key of U---kelele. Maybe a mandolin if that makes it any better!

I have the large spokeshave and the smaller " finger " spokeshave. Luv doing necks with them....seeing those long curly wood shavings.
