Thanks James O - nice work Clock! Oily, the original was dead, but I think it could have been fixed, so I left it in mostly original condition besides hacking into the volume knob.

That guy sounds good.   Neat.  TOO tiny to solder for me!   Good idea on the heat shink.   Nice work.
