Great job Jim, what a lovely Irish tune. Fabulous the way you've mashed it all up to your guitar track etc. Brilliant.

I don't recall having any sync issues, but that reminds me of finding a setting somewhere in Audacity that will compensate for latency if you need it.  Now that I think of it, I remember playing with that on my old computer when it was slowing down.  Pretty sure I'm on the default settings on my new computer.

Thanks turtlehead. I was thinking that learning how to do this would take a big chunk out my building/playing/practice time. Still I'd like to figure it out. Thanks for the tips. I'm pretty familiar with Audacity but I'll have to look into Adobe Premiere Elements. Do you have any problem getting overdubs to synch up in Audacity?

Hey Jim, for those videos I record the audio through Audacity and the video on to my video camera or webcam software.  So I end up with a separate audio track and video for each instrument.  I'll mix the song in Audacity to a finished product, then I use Adobe Premiere Elements to edit the video clips and sync it to the finished mix.  It can be a lot of work when you get up to 3-4+ instruments, but once you get a feel for the software it's not rocket science, just takes time.

I would be much better off as a musician if I was practicing instead of editing, but I love the process and it's fun to put all the pieces together.

Yeah RTZ I've got a couple more necks made and ready to go as soon as I finish what I'm now working on. Building it is one thing, Playing it is a trip for someone used to fingers and picks. That bow still kicks my butt.

I'm gonna try and build one may put it on the back burner for now. If I don't try I'll never know.
