Thanks Dave, very kind of you. Yeah double 8 string is daunting, to say the least! I'm mostly just approaching it as GDg here and there and trying to find the power chord mastery then occasionally throwing in a major GDb chord. Not easy to think and play when there's so much to consider. Lots to learn. Again.

No rubbishy detected. And I have a good nose. Quite the rig Bear. I traded in my big Guyatone 8 string for an old Tenor Harmony archtop. I found the 8 just too much for me. Good goin Bear. You’ve got it. I ... T!

Thanks Paul. I've just got it tuned to G on both with different notes from the G tuning on different but random strings on both necks. I'm struggling to find 8 string lapsteel string sets (I'm using regular guitar strings at the moment). I also have no clue how to make the most of the two necks and what 8 string open tunings to use that compliment each other. What would you use or suggest?

That was good. Nice to have 2 necks tuned to different keys to handle all the bases.

Haha thanks Uncle John. I agree the lapsteel sounds good, even through the hacked radio amp. Not so sure I'd describe myself as "warm and pretty" though. Warm, maybe, haggard and ragged almost certainly :D
