Awesome gourd and a great song Jim.  Kermit might be the first banjo player I ever heard...

Thanks Gary. My three biggest influence in banjo have been Pete Seeger, John Hartford and Kermit.

Thanks Andries. The combination of gourd, natural calfskin head and Nylgut strings has always made for a  plunky, mellow tones that I like a lot. Oh yeah, the superb craftsmanship counts too,lol.

Superbe! Jim ! that mellow tone clear and strait out of yesterday voudeville Wonderful for tone must say one of your best if  can say! what you recon is it the strings  the gourd or just your plain suberbe craftmanship again and again !!
