Thanks for your comments Mr Lloyd. Most of the time I use a dowel stick through the box to support the neck. That's how I make banjos and it seems to work well for other instruments  too. The dowel is inserted into the neck an attached to the opposite side of the box. This allows me to play with the neck angle and then decide where the stick will be attached. I'll try to put up some photos of the next one.

Yup, I use nylguts on my ukes too. That's what got me thinking about nylon strung mandos.

Nice mando.  That box worked great.  Man, it sounds sweet and good and mostly like a mando, but with maybe a bit of uke sound too?   Nice.
