@ Oily - good stories.  I was a bit miffed at the bar noise but then I noticed that most of the guys sat up front were actually listening as evidenced by the spontaneous applause.  That was odd with the bass player - I didn't notice it till I watched the film back

Maybe you could work the rip into your act!

 

Have had this happen onstage several times (twice in solo situations in front of several hundred people, and once onstage in a theater production in front of a rehearsal cast - actually, my costume got hung on a floor nail as I was being dragged offstage - many people blushed). Only thing to do is make light of it and carry on, as you seem to have done.

 

Nice to see they asked you to keep going. And it's always tough playing an open mic with the conversation bubbling in the foreground. At least you got a free beer for your trouble.

 

I'm assuming the funny bit is watching your bass player constantly tune...keep on playin'!

Brickdust - thanks for suffering teh whole video - it was fun - I just Nosferatu in a different key on my 3 string but failed so you might be right tho I have a bit of a prejudice against 6 string CBGs for some reason - I do have a lot of songs tho that may only work that way

Steve - thanks mate - it was very off having 6 strings instead of three - even the MC was surprised to se me wielding that guitar!
