Thanks Buggy. The finger flick is a Maybell Carter lick she called Bump Diddle or the scratch. Adds a bit of rhythm.

Ambrose, Andries, AGP, Thanks! I wrote a long reply but it was lost in the Esther. 

Anyhow, I do play a lot lately. I get my chores done and cook up some bbq and set up to record. I play till I get warmed up and find a tune that suits my instrument. Hit record ang try for it. Usually two takes does it. The hours add up. I usually do my overdubbing at home so I can use my Vox amp and earphones.

Monday music with my friends is wonderful. Last night there were 14 of us. I played my Cheroots Bass Cello. Sure like banging away on that thing.

Thanks Ambrose and Andries. I have been playing every day. I get my iPad set up to record and start playing. I usually have no idea what to play but once I get warmed up something arrives and sounds good. Hit record and try. Usually two takes. I can’t overdub at the lake easily so that happens once I get home. Then I can use my Vox amp and ear phones for the dubs. That adds up the hours about 2 hrs per video. Andries, you must play all the time. Your music is so wholesome. 

Monday night is music night for me. Last night was real fun. 14 of us pickin in a big living room. I played bass and cello all evening. I love that Cheroots Guit Fiddle.

the Ken Burns music special sounds great. I’ll be trying to stream it to see it.

Beautifully played Dave!  On the brief subject of TV... It feels like it's advertisements with short intervals of actual shows thrown inbetween these days!

Didn’t know about the special Uncle. I don’t have a tv but maybe I can see it on my iPad? Tv is like alcohol to me Unc. I was addicted and the hangover severe. But been tv free for many years now and I feel better. It used to piss me off every time I watched it. I like Cigar Box Nation.
