Thanks Tom. Glad that you liked it. I tried it in open G after making this video but think that I definitely prefer the sound of open D on this, as in the video. I still have no idea why it turned out to play so loud. Tis a mystery! Maybe I've trapped some guitar playing pixies inside that improves the volume. Who knows?! Thanks again :)

Thanks Gary and glad you liked it. I guess it is still growth your right but you're also right about learning new stuff is important too. Funny thing learning. You can't see it for ages then, of a sudden, it's like "wow, look at what I can do!" lol, Thanks again Gary :)

OGB: that is sweet and well played!   I'm learning, too, and do get stuck in ruts playing stuff I kind of know how.  But I manage to play it better every time, and so that's a good thing and should count as growth!  Gotta keep learning new stuff too, of course!   Sometimes that's just noodling around, with no particular place to go....  ;-)

Thanks for the kind words Dave. I'm glad you liked it too. I did second guess myself with the sound holes thing. I can question my own sanity but decades of guitar makers getting it wrong with big, obnoxious sound holes right in the middle of the guitar can't really be second guessed lol. No idea why it turned out so loud then. It's a bigger box but a lot of that space is filled with bracing and it's not a deep box. It will just have to remain a mystery and happy accident! Thanks again :)

Big sound holes usually are louder than small.
