Make Me Down a Pallet on Your Floor

Traditional Country Blues on 3 string Uncle John cigar box guitar (tuned DGB) and Iowa Saxophone.

Most folks do this song fast and bouncy. Mississippi John Hurt's version is one me my favorites. Even some blue grassers have adapted it to their style.

I think the lyrics make it a sadder song, so I do it slow. I posted a cover of this song years ago without harp. I could not do harp and guitar at the same time back then. I still have trouble doing both at once on this song. Probably due to an odd chord progression and an odd B7 chord in a key of G song.
