hey guys thanks for the questions!!

what i meant to say was a 22" scale length, which does mean from nut to bridge. this produces a slightly smaller instrument which is less cumbersome than a full scale length, which with a normal sized cigar box, seems to extend greatly to one side with little body to keep it steady.

and thanks for the washers advice! i would certainly use them, but i don't have any of the right size yet - all i have are #8s and the ball ends go right through.

Thats 22" scale from nut to bridge right. When I lay it out my scale looks to short. You say play scale, what do you mean? As I said else where I would like to build this type of guitar because all necks would be the same size. But I would use guitar tuners probley cheap classical so all tuners are on one side. Might I mention instead of nuts to hold the strings from going through the woode on the bridege end use washers they are cheaper.
Thanks Roger

Great!!! I've been wonderin' how to build my first cbg since the weather's so bad it looks like I'm gonna have to build my first one in the kitchen and won't have my table saw or belt sander. Your design for the bridge end of the cbg is perfect for such a situation. Thanks for the pictures and list of ingredients.
