Well..I took inspiration and made this afternoon...carved the neck and pegs with a Stanley knife (I didn't have a machette handy) and burnt the oil out of the can in an old dustbin. I need to put some fret markers on it (I'm lost without them) and I'm going to try putting in a pickup too!

Fun stuff Rooster and good sentiments on the KISS (keep it simple stupid).  That thing sounds good and happy too.  I like the burnt look.
