Nicely done, ma man. The Civil War song all have an inherent sadness. "Brother against brother", how could they be otherwise. You brought the sadness out well, i singing and playing .

I love this song, and I equally love your take on it. Nice work.
Cash did record at least one version of the song. The version I've got is on the Unearthed box set of out-takes from the Rick Rubin produced American Recordings series. Great version too.

Thanks everyone. Yeah SlowHound I usually do this in a higher key but since this box was already tuned G,D, G I tried it in this key and kinda liked the sound. While singing I was thinking of Johnny Cash and wondering if he'd ever rsecorded this.
