Sounds great and looks good too (the guitar, not you). Have you succumbed to one of those zouks yet?

Bug,

Ahh, an oldie. The red was a signal that the contents were volatile. Why not make it different from the trad red, then? Gold would show up nicely on that dark background; yellow would be too intense. Hmmm. What about punching through some all-one-color fairy lights? That'd be waaayyy kewl!

Funny thing is, my mum who is still with us in her eighties worked in the art department at the Hailwood and Ackroyd factory in Morley England and designed the 50's and 60's and maybe even before that? BP, Shell, Fina, Jet etc petrol pump glass globes that they made in the hundreds if not in their thousands, BP was yellow lettering then with a green shield and a white square globe, Shell was in the shape of a white clam shell with red lettering that changed to black at some point but I am not sure without checking with my mum. Fina was a triangle with a bowed top a red within a white background outlined with a blue stripe, a white inner circle with the FINA letters in blue. OK a long time ago but as a kid I had loads of the out of date transfers that were being chucked away to float on water and stick here there and everywhere, so I did, wish I had kept a load. The only thing was whatever you put them on scratched off dead easy as they were glass transfers that had to be cured onto glass in a kiln. If your not bored and want to read on I will cut a long story short, the best I ever had was a globe with National Benzol on which a mate broke, the logo was the god with the helmet with wings on? I had miners lamps that they made and loads of ash trays and dishes in the seventies style. I still have the monochrome sixties light that hung in my bedroom when I was a mod, LOL if anyone wants me to put a photo of it on I will, sorry to have bored you lads and lasses but I hope someone enjoyed my reminisces, did I forget Jet petrol? My dad always said it was the cheapest and made the car go faster but so did the stripes he stuck on the sides. Hey vinyl roofs and get a tiger in your tank, lets do those another time along with Capri's and Cortinas. all the best to you all, Chris. :)
